It’s Christmas It’s Christmas, dear children It’s here for everyone For young and for old. Jesus is born Like many other kids On this day into the world. He brings you a gift, Which is not a miniature train He brings you a gift, Which is not for simple play He brings you a big kiss, As big as Love itself is: If you need it you can use it any day. A Colourful Nursery Rhyme

Immagine
A Colourful Nursery Rhyme Dreadful days, Rainy, cheeky days. A dark sky, stern and sad. But the Earth still spins, From Caracas to Gibraltar, Only a little, little by little, From Beijing to Berlin. Here comes a swarm of colours, Sweet melodies and odours. Round and round goes the hornet, Singing a beautiful sonnet. In her yellow yellow dress, The buttefly shows her finesse. Don’t run away, Spring, And make the night sing. Ercole Bonjean Translation by Chiara Amoretti Visualizza e stampa

Holiday homework for III grade, elementary school. The Adventures of Pokonaso, Chapter 4 Questions: Why does Babbo not like taking Pokonaso with him when he goes fishing? Why does Babbo, after seeing the wood that Pokonaso brought, run home? How does Pokonaso’s family save itself? Who are the Nasastri? Who does Pokonaso believe are the men who are walking in long file? Who are they really? Who captures Pokonaso? How does Okkibuffi liberate him? Answers: Babbo doesn’t like taking Pokonaso with him when he goes fishing because the child has some strange ideas about fishing, for example shouting and throwing stones in the water so as to scare all fish in a mile radius. After seeing the wood that Pokonaso brought, Babbo runs home because he is afraid that the Nasastri are in the vicinity. Pokonaso’s family is able to save itself because Babbo uses some big stones to close the entrance to the cave while the mother, with a

Brilla nell'aria   Primavera d'intorno. Giacomo Leopardi Spring poetry: “Brilla nell’aria” by Giacomo Leopardi  Prose version of the poem: Spring brightens the sky, and it is as if the fields exulted at its coming. At its passage, the heart fills with emotions and you listen to the sheep bleating with joy, the cows mooing; the birds happily circle the sky and, like a joyful race, fly free, celebrating the best season of their life.

The Adventures of Pokonaso Chapter 5 Questions: Pokonaso walks on ice without fear until Okkibuffi arrives; what happens then? Mummy and Daddy are expecting someone important for dinner. Who is it? What was the name of Kapokapo’s mammut? What was Ponzamut’s flaw? Why did Kapokapo’s tribe have to emigrate? Ponzamut took a break to think about the snow, but what happened to him? Who is Pokonaso hoping to meet during their hunting session? Answers: Pokonaso walks on ice without danger until Okkibuffi arrives and the ice breaks because of the mammut’s excessive weight. Mummy and Daddy are expecting Kapokapo for dinner, the man who rules all the people of the land. Kapokapo’s mammut was called Ponzamut. Ponzamut’s flaw was that he thought too much. Kapokapo’s tribe had to emigrate because of the decrease in the number of moose. His fur caught fire, causing him to have to move to stop the flames. Pokonaso is hoping

The legend of the crocodile

A crocodile’s tears The crocodile’s tears pour like a waterfall into the big river. The moon watches him, laughing. It asks the sun for some light, so that it can take a photograph of the scene. The crocodile cries for the small, delicate gazelle who used to run free between the river banks. She is not going to run anymore, and she won’t be eating the tasty grass off the riverbanks anymore. This thought makes the crocodile weep with sadness and guilt for his moments of cruelty. The yellow face of the sun disappears into the darkness of the sky, and the crocodile feels even lonelier. Eventually, he loses consciousness and manages to sleep a healing sleep. He sleeps for few hours, being woken by a feeble sunray. The path to dawn has begun. His first feeling is one of deep hollowness. His stomach is grumbling and demanding to be filled. Like every morning, this demand is one that the crocodile simply cannot wish away; so he crawls into the thickest bush on the riverbank, and he w
