The Legend of the Mimosa

Elena, a young woman, fell in love with the Sun. She gazed at it, drawn by the beauty of its rays, and her eyes gazed at it, enraptured by its strength and warmth. But the Sun did not reciprocate her love and struck her with fiery spears. She continued to love it and sought it with her gaze. She cried for days, trying to convey to it the love she felt for it. And then her tears fell to the ground and transformed into many small, fragrant yellow flowers. Thus was born the mimosa, the flower symbolizing woman.
